Crown Plaza Manila Galleria is located in the vibrant Ortigas Commercial District between Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, and Pasig City and is also easily accessible to Makati City, Bonifacio Global City, and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. It is a short walk from distinguished organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and the Philippine Stock Exchange. The hotel is also conveniently connected to Robinsons Galleria Mall. Each of the hotel’s 263 guest rooms and suites offer spacious contemporary rooms with floor to ceiling windows, 42” LED TV, and high-speed internet. If you are looking for exclusivity, stay at the Club Floor a private lounge located at the 19th floor with a view of the city. Getting to Manila (International Airport Code: MNL)

Manila City, the most modern and liveliest city in the Philippines, is the center of commerce and the country’s biggest city. Ninoy Aquino International Airport is located 7 km south of Manila City. ASEAN member countries can visit the Philippines without a visa. There are many daily flights from other countries to Manila City. There are domestic flights from other cities in the Philippines to Manila City, such as Cebu, Davao, Ilolo, Bacolod, etc.

In general, Manila enjoys warm weather in November with temperature ranging from 22°C to 33°C. The humidity of 77% makes weather in November to January more pleasant than in the previous months. Warm sunshine, little rain, and festive atmosphere make November one of the best times to visit the Philippines.

Ground Transportation Services

Traffic condition in Manila has become very predictably heavy. However, we have partnered with SHARP TRAVEL SERVICE (Phils), INC to provide you safe, convenient, and efficient ground transportation services from the airport to your preferred hotel and elsewhere while in the Philippines. To book your travel requirements, go here.

For the adventurous few who will opt to travel on their own, here’s how you may get to the event venue: From Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminals 1 and 2, take MIA Road, turn left to Airport Road, 1.5km turn right to Andrews Ave, left to Aurora (Tramo) Blvd, right to EDSA approx. 8km, right to Ortigas Avenue after EDSA Shrine, right to ADB Avenue. The Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria is on your right.

The official currency is Philippine Peso (PhP), but the US dollar and major credit cards (Visa, Master Card) are also widely accepted. In tourist centers, most hotels will accept either, while other businesses may prefer PhP. If you are arriving in Manila City by plane, make sure you change a small amount of foreign cash into local currency at the airport to pay your taxi fare.

The symposium secretariat office will be set up near the main conference room to facilitate and assist delegates and participants during the symposium. Services will be available from 0800 -1700 hrs from November 15-18, 2015.

The official language is English. No translation will be available during the symposium.
